The Theresa Mine is one of several standing mine ruins in the Rocky Mountains near Victor, CO. It produced around $180 million of today’s money in gold.
Parts of the ruins are open to the public, so I had to do a mining cosplay of a tired miner cocking out, I mean clocking out at the end of his shaft, I mean shift! This was the day after I ran the Pikes Peak Marathon, so it didn’t require much acting!

That’s half the fun! There was a good 200 meter hike up to the mine, though when I was going back to my car, there was a lady on the way up.
