Scout: Origins

I made a short film this weekend, mainly as cosplay and editing practice from footage I shot at Alcove Springs, Kansas which I had no clear idea how I’d use it. Ended up with a darker Deliverance post-apocalyptic vibe.

Thanks, it can be hit and miss especially my clone scenes, don’t really know if it will work until I get home and edit. I filmed in Alcove Springs, Kansas, in the sticks with one parking lot. Nobody else there. The escape scene was at the river close to my town by a shooting range down miles of minimum maintenance roads, plenty of noisy warning for a car going down those roads.

You never cease to crack me up! That was hilarious. When the “bear” was chasing you though, it was hard to focus on anything other than your… uh… gun. Ahem…. 🤣🤣🤣 You must make more of these.

I’m so glad you liked it! HUMP submission day is this Friday. I’ll have to decide what to do, Grow a Pecker I just don’t think will be workably shortened. Maybe I’ll submit this and just hone my skills for next year. Honestly the blog and Vimeo community has been great and I don’t feel a pressing need for HUMP, but it would be fun and worth doing for the experience alone.
