The whole purpose of this No Pants Endurance blog is about endurance sports and being naked, so the Heartland Naturists Festival is the perfect event for me! Ever since I found out about it last year, I had been counting down the days for this year’s event like a kid does for Christmas!

That being said, I was also very nervous and many times thought about backing out. I’ve had many other opportunities to attend naturist events. I lived in the Seattle area for some ten years and never got the courage to strip down for the Fremont Solstice Parade‘s nude biking or visit one of the area’s naturist communities, which I regret.

As I mention in my video review (which I hope you enjoy and find funny) being naked in front of people is a whole different animal from blog posts where everything I post is controlled and I can always show myself in the best light possible. But not just that, I’m actually a shy person and new social situations are hard for me under normal circumstances and these were far from normal circumstances!

Anyway I got the courage and am so glad I did! The HN community was fantastic and the event met expectations and then some! As for the Sun Run 5k, I know people were interested in how that worked out. It was actually not a painful experience at all! I’d say it felt 10% weird and 90% exhilarating! Again, check the video for too much information about that! 😉 🍆
If you have any interest in naturist festivals or nude runs, I highly recommend you try it! Especially the Heartland Naturist Festival if you are in the area next year! I hope to see you there!
Many congrats on getting out and doing that run. I would have trouble being with that many people, let alone naked.

I’m so happy you made yourself do it-it sounds like it was very rewarding! I, too, am on the shy side, but I have found myself completely at home with the nudists I have gotten to know here. They are a warm, welcoming group. And your video was cute!

Thanks and I was, not surprised, as I’d heard the community was welcoming, but very happy I went!

Olive Dell does the Bare Burro 5K out here in April. It gets runners from around the world. There’s also the Naked Beer Mile. That’s more my speed.

I’d love to do more! I’ve only done last year’s Heartland Naturist Sun Run which I made a video about! It’s the only one in drivable distance that I know if here in the prudish Midwest.

I grew up in the midwest, rural Michigan. I was literally in the closet about being a nudie from my own family until I left home for California
